Herbal Teas
There is nothing like sitting down with a cup of tea. The act of it is medicinal in itself. Drinking a cup of tea can be a solitary activity or it can be a social activity. Regardless, the act of making tea, the fact that a person is seeing and handling the herb itself, as opposed to capsules or even liquid extracts, is a way of being closer to the plant itself and helps a person get to know an herb or herbs. The aroma that teas give off is half the pleasure of herbal teas and is part of their medicine.
Kids love herbal teas as well. Making sun tea on hot sunny days is especially fun for my kids. They get to see the beautiful herbs floating around in the jar and watch the energy from the sun brew them up a perfect summer refreshment.
Teas are one of my favorite products that we produce. The combinations of herbs are endless and it is great fun to make new recipes. All of our herbs are dehydrated at tempertures lower than 110 degrees to keep the goodness of the herbs intact. For custom herbal tea blends, please see our fresh and dried herb page.
